Step-by-Step Tutorial to Rearrange Displays on Windows

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to rearrange your displays on a Windows computer. This will help you ensure your monitors are set up in the correct order for a more seamless and efficient workflow.

Step 1: Open Display Settings

Right-click on your desktop and select “Display settings.”

This will open the display settings window where you can control all aspects of your monitors. Here, you’ll see how your monitors are currently arranged.

Step 2: Identify Displays

Click the “Identify” button to see numbers pop up on your screens.

These numbers will help you understand which monitor is which. It’s like putting labels on boxes before unpacking them.

Step 3: Drag and Drop Monitors

Click and hold the display icons, then drag them to rearrange them.

Imagine you’re moving pieces of a puzzle. You just need to drag each piece (monitor) to its correct spot.

Step 4: Apply Changes

Click the “Apply” button to save your new arrangement.

This will lock in your new setup. Think of it like pressing save after writing an important document.

Step 5: Confirm Configuration

Check if your mouse cursor moves smoothly across screens.

Make sure everything feels natural. If not, you might need to tweak the arrangement a bit more.

After completing these steps, your displays should be set up in the order you prefer. Your mouse and windows will smoothly transition from one screen to the next, making your work or gaming setup much more intuitive.
